Beautiful walks on the program
The hill of Cimiez

The Hotel Petit Palais is located on the hill of Cimiez between the hundred-year-old pines, the palm and the olive trees, a typical vegetation of the French Riviera.

Occupied since ancient times, the Cimiez hill has many surprises in store for you during your walks. During your walks in the heart of the Cimiez district, you will appreciate the various historical monuments and you will learn more about the history of the town and the hill.

We particularly recommend that you pass by the ancient Excelsior Regina Palace Hotel, which is also a worthy representative of the Belle Époque architecture.

A journey through history Gallo-Roman remains

During your walks, you will enjoy exploring the Roman ruins of Nice with the arena, the amphitheatre, the thermal baths and the paleochristian basilica.

To learn more about all these monuments, we invite you to visit the Museum of Archaeology.

In the city center The Old Town

Take a walk through Old Nice and don't miss any of the curiosities and points of interest. At the reception of our charm hotel in Nice, we will be able to advise you on itineraries to pass by the most beautiful places in Old Nice: the Place Masséna, the Paillon river, the Opera, the Cours Saleya, the Chapel of the Misericorde and the Saint-Giaume church.

On the Castle Hill The Medieval Nice

To discover or rediscover the rich history of Nice, we recommend a visit to the Parc of the Colline du Château. You will enjoy a walk in the 19 hectares of wooded gardens. You will find shady and refreshing paths, numerous panoramas on the Baie des Anges, the Old Nice and the area around. From the castle, only ruins remain, but it is the testimonial of the creation of Nice.

By the Mediterranean The old Port

Head to Nice's Old Harbour to watch the ballet of boats returning to the port for fishing and tourism. You can also enjoy a meal in a restaurant on the port or in a café. From the port, you can go to one of Nice's beaches and enjoy a lazy afternoon sunbathing to the sound of the waves.
